Conor McGregor will be back in the octagon in the near future.

The fighting icon confirmed to DAZN Boxing that he will return to the ring in 2025 and still has hopes of fighting Michael Chandler, who is next set to face Charles Oliveira in November.

“It’s going to be 2025,” McGregor said. “My job is just to go to the gym, be present, stay in shape and make sure that whenever and wherever I am, I’m ready.”

Beyond that commitment, McGregor said he doesn't know what his future holds.

“I don’t even know,” McGregor said. “I’m the most productive fighter on planet Earth right now in today’s space, what happens after that as a free agent, I’m not sure.”

McGregor hasn't fought since breaking his leg in a fight against Dustin Poirier in 2021. He was scheduled to face Chandler in June but had to pull out due to a broken pinky toe.

McGregor has an all-time record of 22-6-0.
