Buxton police search for 'armed and dangerous' man who fled on foot

Buxton police are searching for a man who has active arrest warrants and is considered armed and dangerous, authorities said Friday night.

The man, who has not been identified, fled on foot in the area of ​​Parker Farm and Webster roads, the Buxton Police Department said in a Facebook post.

Police are asking residents in the area to stay indoors and lock the doors of their homes and vehicles.

“Our K-9 team and multiple officers have saturated the area,” police wrote shortly before 7:40 p.m.

Anyone who sees suspicious activity is asked to call dispatch at 207-929-5151. Police are asking those without information to refrain from calling as the center is inundated with calls.
