Elton John's couple claim their home was burglarized while they were engaged

Kirke Beall and Coriena Brady traveled to Texas this past weekend for their engagement.

When the couple returned home Monday evening, they said they noticed their house had been broken into.

“We came back from Galveston after getting engaged and found a lot of our stuff missing from our house,” Beall told KATC.

The stolen items range from a 160-year-old Bible passed down through generations to their eight-month-old son's birth certificate to family heirlooms they say they cannot replace.

“[Heirlooms of] “My mother, my father, my brother and my sister,” Beall said. “They’re all gone!”

According to Elton Police Chief Bruce Lemelle, there were no signs of forced entry. However, he said investigators are still investigating the incident.

Beall told KATC they didn't have much and the things they did have, money couldn't buy.

“[We’re missing] “My son’s gun, all my police personal effects, my police vest, my police belt,” Beall said. “We went into the house and checked everything. There was a television missing from our bedroom and a safe that had nothing in it but all my family heirlooms, all of them. Nothing in there has any value to anybody!”

Hoping that someone would come forward, the couple provided the public with the combination to the safe:

“13-77-40,” Beall said. “Open it up. Open it up and see. And I hope you have a heart.”

His fiancée is begging anyone with information about his articles to contact her.

“Please return the items you stole,” Brady said. “They mean nothing to you, but they mean everything to us!”
